Agnes McEwan was born and lived in Calderbank all her life. She met Thomas McEwan (Tom) from
Holytown and in July of 1952 married him. They went on to have 6 children, Betty, Anne, Nancy,
Margo, Tom and Alison. Agnes had 14 Grandsons and 3 Granddaughters and 3 Great Grandchildren.
She lived for her family and loved when they came to visit. She also liked Bingo, reading, watching
the soaps and doing the Lottery. She had great friends in Mary (Love) Lennox and also Agnes
Thomson, and was a member of Calderbank Guild until illness meant she could no longer attend.
My Mammy was the Best Mum in the World and I Will Always Love and Miss her.
