I WOULD LIKE TO THANK ALL MY GTS FRIENDS FOR REMEMBERING MY MUM'S BIRTHDAY YESTERDAY. I AM SO OVERWHELMED BY ALL THE CANDLES, TRIBUTES, PICTURES AND GIFTS THAT WERE LEFT FOR HER AND MYSELF. I CANNOT PUT INTO WORDS WHAT THEY ALL MEANT TO ME: AND I KNOW MY MUM WOULD BE SO TOUCHED AND HAPPY. I would like to thank all my GTS friends for all their support this last year, I wouldn't have coped without it, you all give me strength to carry on with life and I consider each and everyone of you a very dear friend. I'm finding it really hard to come on here at the moment with various health problems and I'm also feeling really down and missing my Mum and Dad so much. Thank you all for keeping my Angels out of the dark when I'm not able to visit their gardens. I appreciate everything you do for them and it makes me feel better knowing my friends are looking after them. I will try and get on here as often as I can and I'll always keep you and your Angels in my heart and thoughts.

Agnes McEwan was born and lived in Calderbank all her life.
She met Thomas McEwan (Tom) from Holytown and in July of 1952 they got married. They went on to have 6 children, Betty, Anne, Nancy, Margo, Tom and Alison. Agnes had 14 Grandsons and 3 Granddaughters and 3 Great Grandchildren.
She lived for her family and loved when they came to visit. She also liked bingo, reading, watching the soaps and playing the Lottery. She had great friends in Mary (Love) Lennox and also Agnes Thomson, and was a member of Calderbank Guild until illness meant she could no longer attend.
My Mammy was the Best Mum in the World and the Best Gran to my two sons Ross and Jason. I Will Always Love and Miss her.
